Alongside her work in higher education, she spent over a decade in retail with Express and Michael Kors, where her love for fashion deepened and she gained firsthand experience in customer needs, fit, and design.
Today, Christina brings together her professional background and lived experience to lead BAO with intention and heart—building a mission-driven brand rooted in compassion, resilience, and the belief that women facing cancer deserve to feel seen, supported, and whole.
Christina’s Journey
Christina was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2019 at just 35 years old. What began as an unexpected chapter has now become part of her story as she enters her eighth cancerversary, a milestone marked not only by endurance, but by growth, resilience, and perspective.
A key factor in Christina’s ability to navigate treatment has been her commitment to a holistic approach to healing. Alongside medical care, she prioritizes a mindful, nourishing diet, ongoing support from a trusted therapist, and consistent movement through workouts tailored to her energy levels. For her, wellness has never been about perfection, it’s about staying engaged in her own strength, physically and emotionally.
Equally important has been the incredible support system surrounding her. Friends, family, and a powerful community of fellow survivors have walked beside her, sharing wisdom, encouragement, and lived experience. Drawing from those connections, Christina has created tools and resources designed to help survivors and those in recovery not just get through treatment, but enhance their lives, rebuild confidence, and thrive beyond the diagnosis.
